Sleeping during class getting a good rest until the bell rings.ââ¬Å"Research show that students need as much sleep as they did when they were younger generally 8 1/2 to 9 1/4 hours each night (Carskadon).â⬠Each night some kids might might not get all the sleep they need. ââ¬Å"Research shows the typical adolescentââ¬â¢s natural time to fall asleep may be 11 pm or later; because of this change in their internal clocks, teens may feel wide awake at bedtime, even when they are exhausted.â⬠Schools should start later because students need 8 hours of rest,there grades will become poor, also their health will become poor. Students need at least 9 hours of sleep, but that is not what they are getting. As you have read about the research it more than poor grades not getting enough sleep cause depression etc. students should really get sleep. Students have been deprived of sleep and now it is all coming back. According to Camille Peri,ââ¬Å"sleep deprivation can lead to serious problems. Sleep disorders and chronic sleep loss can put you at risk for heart disease,Heart attack,stroke and diabetes.â⬠The things this can lead to just by not getting sleep can kill people. Camille Peri researched that,ââ¬Å"Most people have experienced sallow skin puffy eyes after a few nights of missed sleep.â⬠These things happen when you are tired and miss too much sleep. According to Camille Peri,â⬠poor quality sleep among the students can cause significant memory loss and brain deterioration.â⬠From the information that you have read that sleep is important and can lead to different disease.
